He married Elizabeth Ash at St Andrew by the Wardrobe in 1714. She may have been the daughter of his master Thomas Ash (Grimwade p.426). She was christened at St Mary Staining in 1689.
Edward Gibbon (Grimwade p.521), another apprentice of Thomas Ash, was turned over to John Farnell in 1715.
A number of the Farnell children were christened at St Andrew, Holborn from 1715-30, the records for those christened from 1725-30 showing their address as Holborn Bridge where Heal mentions their father working in 1729.
The Land Tax records show him at Ditch Side in St Andrew’s parish from 1722-34 and the widow Farnall (sic) at the same address in 1735.

Re: FARNELL, John (Grimwade p.506)
It is perhaps noteworthy that John Farnell's surname is spelled Fernell on his indenture contract to Thomas Ash. Although he signs his name Farnell. And in the end his name is again spelled Fernell throughout his will which specified he was to be buried in Oakingham. Will referenced: http://925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ell#p38011
