HOGG, Andrew (Grimwade p.548-9, 753)

Post by MCB »

His apprentices as a freeman of the Drapers Company were James Beattie (Grimwade p.435, 737) in 1756, Archibald Stent in 1759 and Charles Lane in 1763.
The 1768 Poll Book listed him as a Draper at Charing Cross, an address absent from Grimwade’s biography for him.
He was last listed in London Poll Books at Chelsea in 1796.

17 September 1767 Andrew Hogg batchelor of the parish of Saint Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex bound for the purpose of marriage to Elizabeth Ward spinster of the parish of Saint Dunstan West London. Andrew Hogg's distinctive signature on this oath and on indenture contracts compares favorably.
