18 June 1717: 20 pounds with 10 shillings duty was paid for the apprenticeship of Abel son of Abel Brookesby of Swithland, Leicester, Clerk to Francis Turner, grocer. [ref: Register of Duties Paid for Apprentices' Indentures]

23 November 1730: Marriage of Abel Brokesby and Mackady King, St Benet, Paul's Wharf, London.
