A receipt issued by the Halifax, Nova Scotia silversmith, Peter Nordbeck:
The receipt, dated 10th April 1832, is for:
1 pair silver gravy ladles...£2 - 5s.
½ Dz. Silver Teaspoons.....£1 - 15s.
1 Dz. ditto ditto.............£4
Plated Glass Cruet..........£2 - 5s.
A discount of 5% was allowed, and a further charge of five shillings added for engraving.
The receipt is signed by Peter Nordbeck:
The paper contains a watermark revealing that it was made by W. Brookman in 1831.
