.

Had a nice weekend, mainly at one address
This Cruet was the bonus for my purchases.
He was black patina and was in a bad condition.
The question was, is it solid silver or silverplate
After silver test, succeeded.

After a thorough cleaning and good modeling, the Cruet looks neat again.
At the top of the holder, two chains must be attached to the eyes, which are connected with glass / crystal caps.
There is no makers mark.

An assay groove can be seen at the Liège city-marks for the re-examination.
Now the oil and vinegar bottles with caps, and then he is complete again.
Originally it was made in Namur, see City-Marks anno 173 ....
Not bad for this object of almost 300 years old?
