Danish? silver bracelet

Post by SilverQuine »

Hi,

Looking for a bit of help with the makers mark on this bracelet. I think it's Danish silver but am struggling to id the maker. Think it's around 1940s and has a bit of a Jensen look to it but marks don't tally. Any thoughts gratefully received.

I have a partial answer to your question. Your bracelet was made in Mexico. It is a copy of a well-known design by Hector Aguilar. Yes, the original design dates from the 1940's. Someone might recognize the maker of your item, whose initials appear to be BJ. Good luck in your research.

My pleasure to help. You' weren't so off track: the design period is right. And admittedly this bracelet could be compared to some Jensen designs such as bracelet #83 by Harold Nielsen.

Enjoy your foray into Mexican silver; it is fascinating.
