Silver pin with unknown Hallmark and Makers Mark

Post by Jbird01 »

Hello, I'm trying to find out the country of manufacture and possibly the maker. It appears to be an 835 hallmark above a "M" and possible "parachute" symbol makers mark.
Any questions, guesses, or comments are welcome. Sorry for the links but the pics are too large and I'm working from an iPhone.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

The top mark appears to be that of the Porto assay office, it indicates an 833/1000 standard of silver:

The other mark would identify the maker, but is unknown to me.

Thank you very much! I love learning about assay marks and I appreciate your help. I stumbled across this forum a few days ago and it has become my new obsession. Lol
