On the inner workings on the watch There are also markings
It says John Ingiam, Cardiff.
With a handle that moves from left to right S being on the left F being on the right, I presume fro Slow / Fast. Unfortunatly the picture of this didn't turn out so cleay.
Hi I need some help slash comfirmation on the details I have gathered for this watch.
It belonged to my father and its just been sitting around the house for years.
recently my friend at work whos into pocket watches got me thinking about it and I started researching it.
Together we've founder out (we think anyway) that lion indicates that it is silver, the leopards head indicates that it was assayed in london and the date letter dates it to 1883. the initials I.H. are for james hyde [ the I translates to a j according to the makers mark on the website]
R.H. could possibly be robert hennell but this is where my friend becomes unsure.
Cheers
