In case of a provenance from Thuringia or Saxony the informations on silversmiths in this area for me are hard to find. A Brazilian provenance was a surprising possibility from which I learnt that in this case the "10" meant ten dinheiros (10/12), that's 833/1000, in contrast to ten loth (10/16), that's 625/1000. But the missing crown mark and no "PH" find stopped deeper insight.
In the Rabinovitch book on silver servers I saw that the slice design was popular in Germany and Danmark (what doesn' exclude additional provenances) from 1770 to 1790. Good guesstimate Theoderich!
