Snake Ring with ECM Mark??

Can anyone identify the Jeweler and maybe an estimate on the age? The Maker's Mark reads: HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. 925 with what appears to be ECM in the center. It is a small ring weighing exactly 3 grams.

I understand the D F means Mexico City. Is jewelry marked made in Mexico, 925, always Sterling, or even really Silver?
Thanks

925 means Sterling

Jewelry marked - made in Mexico, 925, IS Sterling. The 925 means 925 parts of 1000 parts pure silver. Mexico is well known for it's Sterling.
