Postby Gary Friar » Tue Dec 04, 2018 7:16 am

Dear experts,

Could someone please identify this rather unclear maker's mark, from Rotterdam

To me it seems a leeping deer or horse.

Someone who has a clue?

Thank you in advance en kind regards,

Hi Gary, the maker's mark is a leaping (jumping) deer or Capricorn and so far, of a unknown Rotterdam master, registered around 1735-1753. The year letter M for Rotterdam 1746. This maker's found on a zilveren cabaret/silver waiter with year letter Rotterdam T for 1753.

Wow, Peter. Once again, thank you dearly.

Your information is very much appreciated.

Too bad we do not know the maker but at least i now for sure that it is unclear.

Kind regards,

Gary Friar,
