My first post on this site, I'm a novice, and I know I should have images to present, but just wanted to say I have a rum-punch ladle with a twisted bone handle, which has the (1) Glasgow .925 standard mark (up-right lion); (2) a "U" date stamp (perhaps earlier than what's shown online); a (3) what I think is a late 18th century duty "head" stamp; and a "T R" maker's initials. I have not found any "T R" with this combination of hall marks, but I may be mistakenly identified some of my marks. Might be the same "T R" on your buckle, though on my ladle, there is no dot dividing the two letters.
Enough said. I will try uploading images of what I have.
In addition to including images could you also start a new topic in the "Scottish Hallmarks" section please; then we can deal with the mark in an appropriate part of the forums.
