Amsterdam Hoof Spoon

I just acquired this gilt Dutch hoof spoon. The maker mark appears to be a K or part of a K. I think the maker may be Abraham Knobbart but I cannot find any examples of his mark. I also have no clue whose crest of 3 crossed swords this belongs to.

H​o​of spoon ​t​own mark​ of Amsterdam without a visible crown. No ​y​ear letter, only an unclear partly struck master mark. I do not say that the master mark is of Abraham Knobbart, registered in Amsterdam 1668-1718. His master mark​ AK ​conjoined in a shield semi-circular base​.
Objects marked with a master mark and with Amsterdam ​t​own mark, without ​y​ear letter were probably made between​ circa 17​1​0 and 1734​.

Thanks Peter, early 18th century seems right for the style to me and the build. I am especially grateful for the example of the Abraham Knobbart mark so I can rule him out.

The only other options I could find would be Hendrik Kamerlingh 1st or Hendrik Kramer. I cannot find examples of their marks either

Yes, indeed Hendrik Kamerlingh 1st, registered in Amsterdam 1683-1741 does not appear at the net.


Hendrik Kramer, registered in Amsterdam, 1729-1762. He is known for his Catholic and Old Catholic church silver, but also profane silverware.
