Bears the maker's mark of Koch & Bergfeld, Bremen Germany c. 1870-1880

Following my catalogue of fabrication numbers time of production was around 1958/59.

The retailer is perhaps Johann Dix of Bonn?

J. Dix stands for Jan Dix (1928 Dresden - 2019 Öhningen near Bodensee), son of the famous painter Otto Dix. He obviously sold this item made by Koch & Bergfeld and presumably designed it.

Hello, Johann Wilhelm Dix founded his workshop in Bonn in 1889. His Son Johann Theodor took over after WWi, the shop was finally sold by the family to Düsseldorf jeweller Krischer in 1936, but the name Dix was kept. It finally closed in 1989. There is no connection to painter Otto Dix or his son. Regards, Bahner
