Help with Hallmark?

Post by Daddy1947 »

This pastry fork identifies as Mt. Vernon - George Washington but the hallmark does not match.
I know Mt. Vernon absorbed Mauser and I thought that might be it but does not match the ones on this site.
I have seen it before but can't remember. Anyone able to help? Thank you.

It's the mark of H.H. Curtis, the pattern was designed by John H. Hobson, patent #D36709 issued in 1903 and assigned to Henry H. Curtis. The firm was sold off in 1915, the dies most likely acquired then by Mt. Vernon.
