A. Rosenstock, of Baltimore, is back again at business after an illness which incapacitated him for a time.

Abraham Rosenstock, 65, died on December 20 after a prolonged illness. His jewelry business, which he conducted at 116 N. Howard St., Baltimore, for about 18 years, will be carried on by his two sons, Julian and Manuel Rosenstock.

MAURICE L. RUDER

Baltimore


Maurice L. Ruder obtained a verdict of one cent damages in Part 2 of the Court of Common Pleas Wednesday, in his suit against Arthur C. Frey for alleged defamatory language used by Mr. Frey in reference to Mr. Ruder in his business as a jeweler. The trouble occurred in a dispute over a sapphire ring which the defendant bought from the plaintiff.

Jacob M. Paul, jeweler, located at 3310 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, Md., for the past 34 years, had made some extensive improvements on the second floor of his establishment. Mr. Paul has installed a new modern front on the second floor thus providing considerably more selling space and more display space for merchandise. A watch repair department has been established in the new sales area and the rest of the floor will be devoted to the sale of electrical appliances, television sets and radios.

ROGERS JEWELERS

407, Eastern Avenue, Essex, Maryland


The newest jewelry store in the Baltimore area was opened late in November by Ed Weiss at 407 Eastern Ave., Essex, Md. Mr. Weiss, who owns and operates this establishment under the trade name of Rogers Jewelers, is well-known in the retail trade locally. He was employed by the Castelberg stores until his present venture.

ROYAL-TSCHANTRE, Inc.

Royal Jewelers Supply Co. and the John A. Tschantre Co., both of Baltimore, have merged. The new firm, known as Royal-Tschantre, Inc., has its offices at 31 Light St., Baltimore. Officers of the corporation include: William Stubbins, president; Leon Dahne and Alvin Waggonheim, vice presidents; Ben Michaelson, secretary; and Irvin Weinstein, treasurer.
