Austrian 18th century salt cellar

Hi, I would like to buy it, however I am afraid of some kind of forgery, especially when it comes to salt cellars.

The design of it looks consistent with its age, so the whole item looks reliably to me, however I will gladly get any opinion from any more experienced collector.







Item bears marking: 13loth 1787 and M

Is it good for the cellar to be hammered?
