The box is made of wood and covered in silver sheet.

The engraving on the top says AH from CR 30.3.27.

Its stamped with Assay marks running from left to right as follows :

P.J.F , Anchor, Lion, A.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

Those are British Sterling silver hallmarks.

I read them as Birmingham, 1925.
The P.J.F mark was entered in February of 1916 by P.J. Finch.
