Help needed with mustard pot. Missing duty mark?

Postby chudster » Wed Sep 16, 2009 11:57 am

I have a mustard pot made in Sheffield. The date letter appears to be 1839- a "t". The maker appears to be Walker and Hall.

The problem is that if it is 1839 then there is no duty mark which surely should be there. It could be 1911 however the "t" from there appears to be more fancy.

Can anyone provide insight?

That is the 1911 t which fits with the style of the pot. I'm not sure about the maker.
