George Waterman is listed as a silversmith in the 1850 Census for Albany, New York.

There is a record of a $75.50 payment to G Waterman of Albany for lettering metals by the New York Agricultural Society around 1850 http://books.google.com/books?id=FAsTAA ... &q&f=false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

George Waterman is listed in the 1860 and '70 Census's for Albany New York as a jeweler.

Earl Woodworth is listed as an employee of James Kirkham in the 1858-'9 Springfield, Massachusetts. Earl Woodworth is listed in the 1859 Springfield Directory as a watchmaker.

A fifty-eight year old Earl Woodworth is listed in the 1860 Cenus for Springfield, Massachusetts as a jeweller.

George W Welsh is listed as a jeweler in the 1850 New York, New York Census.

He is listed as a master jeweler in the 1860 New York, New York Census.

He is listed as a watch dealer in the 1870 New York, New York Census, and
his sons Samuel and George are listed as watchmakers.

S Wyler Inc

Sigmund Wyler was born 7 May 1875 in Endingen, Switzerland and immigrated to the United States on 11 February 1891
He died in about 1945.

Seymour B Wyler was born 23 May 1910 in New York and died 9 March 1990 in New York.

In the 1933 New York City Directory Sigmund Wyler is listed as the president and treasurer of S Wyler Inc and a silversmith.
At this time, Seymour B Wyler is listed as vice president and Fanny S Wyler is listed as treasurer.

J T Young

James Thomas Young who was born in about 1825 in Virginia is listed in the 1860 and 1870 Petersburg Census's as a jeweler; he is again listed in Petersburg in the 1880 Census as a merchant.

William H Chaffee is listed as a blacksmith in the 1850 Providence Census and a forger in the 1850 Providence Directory. He is listed as a jeweler in the 1853 Providence Directory at 31 Richmond. William H Chaffee is listed as a jeweler in Providence Directories until 1882 when he is listed as a manufacturer of jewelers' tools at 118 Friendship.

William R Evans is listed as watchmaker in the 1850 Covington, Kentucky Census. He is listed in the 1856 Iowa State Census with the occupation watchmaker, and he is again listed as a watchmaker in Covington in the 1860 Census.

Thomas F Fessenden is listed in the 1860 through 1862 Providence Directories with Wm B Fessenden & Co silver ware manuf. Fessenden & Co with Thomas F Fessenden and various other partners is listed in the 1863 through 1905 Providence Directories. Fessenden & Co Inc is listed in the 1906 through 1926 Providence Directories.

J Eubank

John Eubank who was born in about 1830 in Kentucky is isted in the 1850 Census for Glasgow, Kentucky as a silversmith.

John Eubank is listed in the 1860 Census for Williamson, Texas a Christian Preacher in the household of Joseph Eubank who was born in Virginia in 1797 and who was working as a farmer.

John Eubank is listed in the 1870 Census for Williamson, Texas as a silversmith.

The 1902 Providence Directory lists Paye & Baker Mfg Co silversmiths at 129 Eddy manufacturing sterling silver novelties. Charles T Paye was the president and Frank L Baker was the treasurer.

The 1903 Providence Directory notes that Paye & Baker Mfg Co removed to N Attleboro, Mass.

Charles T Paye passed away in 1919 and Frank L Baker passed away in 1923.

The 1856 Boston Directories list (Augustus) Rogers & (John R) Wendt silversmiths at 43 Kingston, and the 1857 and '58 Boston Directories list Rogers, Wendt & (Charles) Lemme silversmiths at 43 Kingston.

The 1856 and 1857Boston Directories list Rogers, Wendt & (William G) Langdon watch cases, crystals and glasses manufacturers at 4 Court.

In the 1832 Lowell Directory, he is listed as a clerk at Haselton & Wentworth Central St, and in the 1834 through 1838 Lowell Directories, he is listed as partners with Joshua L Wentworth Central St.

William George Arhendt born was born on 22 February 1884 in New York, and the second half of this partnership was possibly jewelry manufacturer Frederick Godfried Kautzman who was born 22 November 1873 in New Jersey.

J P Butler

A loose fit for the J P Butler mark in the American Silver Marks may be James P Butler who was born in Connecticut in about 1824 and is listed in the Philadelphia Census's as a silverware manufacturer in 1870 and a silver smith in 1880.

There is a Frederick Thibault who was born in Santo Domiingo in about 1790 listed as a jeweller in the 1850 Philadelphia Census.

Frederick Thibault Sr is listed in McElroy's Philadelphia Directories for 1855 and 1856 as a jeweller at 182 S 3d.

Gardner Silver Co

Listed in the 1960 Gardner Directory at 60 Chestnut which is Frank Smith Co's address in the 1959 Gardner Directory. Coincidently, Gardner Silver Company also had Frank Smith Co's telephone number, 190.

In 1960 the president of the Gardner Silver Co was Leonard Wolkoff, the vice president was W Henry Gamson and the treasurer was Irving Moskovitz.
