help with silver spoon hallmark

Hi all

i need some help with a silver spoon i have been given by my late nan.

the first two letters are M F both in a seperate squares.

next is like the on/off icon you get on remote controls, next is a castle and the last letter i think it looks like an S. all are in a shield like shape.

im really stuck with the first two letters and i can find anything remotly like them on any site.
i would be greatful for any help identifing this .

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

The maker is MacRae Forbes Shipton & Co Ltd of Birmingham. They registered with the Edinburgh Assay Office in 1938.

The date letter is a little difficult to make out, but appears to be 1948.
