Can anyone tell what this worn hallmark is

Post by ande »

Not sure if this is a birmingham hallmark but as i am from dudley i thought it could well be a birmingham hallmark. It is worn but i didnt have my glasses on when i bought it so i couldnt tell lol. Can anyone tell what any of them were? i did think the firts one might be a W but there isn't a notch in the bottom of it. Oh, they are sugar tongs by the way.

I think the first one might be an 'e' because it has three prongs and the worn bit across it could be the two bars from a 1828 'e'

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Not a hallmark, I'm afraid, just the Gothic letters 'EPNS' for Electro Plated Nickel Silver.
