Post by Nikkihunt »

Hi, I am trying to find out what the hallmarks are
for an inkwell please. I can't seem to upload a picture, but it looks like an anchor
then a lion then a capital B in a square. If anyone can be of any help that would be great.
Thank you.

Hi Nikki,

It's Birmingham 1926.

The maker's mark appears to have been struck about four times, but it's very likely to be that of Solomon Blanckensee & Son, see: http://www.925-1000.com/dlBirmingham5.html#M
