Hi I need some help identifying this object. Someone has cut this piece so I think it is ruined for collectors and valuable just for its silver content. It much softer than some sterling I have so I am thinking???

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Is there anything missing? It looks complete to me, just a little bent.

The marks are typical of French silverplate. This article explains the meaning of the '10g' mark: http://www.925-1000.com/a_platenumbers.html

Nothing is missing, it is an ordinary wine bottle stand for the dinner table.
