Nouveau necklace sterling R & SO identity????

Hi!
I'm new to these boards and I think I'm gonna LOVE it here!
I hate to start by asking a question, rather than answering one, but I have a question.
I have this gorgeous Art Nouveau enamel necklace, sterling, with the marks:
R & SO or SD.
I tend to think SO for Sons.
I think the style of the writing of the word "sterling' can be a clue.
Any ideas, oh Brilliant Ones?

Hi ~ welcome to the forums, looking forward to your participation. Pretty piece, have seen a number of similar items with that cast-in 'R&SD Sterling' mark in the last few years, sometimes described as antique, but so far as I know, they are recent Asian imports, in 'Art Nouveau style'...
