Chicago.—Milton Reynolds, chairman of the Reynolds Pen Company, who returned recently from England with an order for 850,000 ball-point pens, left for Australia recently by air to complete arrangements for a factory and assembly plant there, it has been announced.
Mr. Reynolds will be included in the initial public relations flight by Pan- American Airways, which inaugurates regular service to New Zealand and Australia.
Permission to manufacture pens in Australia and distribute them throughout the British Empire was obtained by Mr. Reynolds from Hon. Joseph B. Chifley, prime minister of Australia.
The pen manufacturer will also visit South Africa to complete arrangements for the delivery of 100,000 additional pens.

Ira C. Haskins, known all over the country as a manufacturer of gold pens, is dead at his home, in Shutesbury, Mass. Mr. Haskins was in business in Springfield, Mass., for many years.
DETROIT, Mich., Feb 1. - Burkhardt Grieshaber, for half a century a well known manufacturer of gold pens, in this city, and the inventor of the oblique pen, died, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. F. Jos. Shefferly, 428 Monroe Ave., Jan. 29. He was born in Germany, in 1821, and came to Detroit in 1839. The funeral was held at 9 o'clock this morning from St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be at Mt. Elliott Cemetery.

Charles L. Otto has become connected with the Wilrite Fountain Pen Corp., of New York, and will represent this concern through the middle west territory in conjunction with his other lines, making his headquarters in room 504 Columbus Memorial building.

The Wilrite Fountain Pen Corporation has removed its offices and factory to 312 Lafayette St.
The Tri-Pen Mfg. Co., which was granted a charter under Rhode Island laws on Sept. 7, has begun the manufacture of a new line of fountain pens and pencils, to be placed on the market under the trade name of “Triad.” For the present these goods are being made at the plant of the Moulded Products Co., 14 Blount St., but it is the intention of the concern, if the demand for their product warrants, to erect a factory building either in this city or Pawtucket. The new company is headed by George Coby as president and Ely Egnatoff, treasurer, who were two of the original founders of the Ceco Mfg. Co.

The Tri-Pen Mfg. Co., manufacturer of pens and pencils, 14 Blount St. , this city, will move in a few weeks to Pawtucket, having purchased a building at 581 Pawtucket Ave.
