Post by cdtiques »

Hi There,
I've got a pair of these wonderful tazzas that are marked 800 Germany. However, I can't locate figure out the other marks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! C

Hi,
These are Hanau pseudomarks, the maker's mark is the crowned R. Can you please post a larger image of the marks.
Thanks, Tom

Thanks for the larger pic. There is a chance that it is Reusswig of Hanau.

But, that is only a guess, hopefully someone else can ID it with some accuracy.

Thank you Hose & Tom! I've been through all of my books and every online source I could come up with. Nothing so far.
Thanks again, Christine

OH yes - so that is why the frame did not correspond. I found that confusing at first, but reasoned proberly later mark. And Hanau pseudo did not cross my mind - wonder why?
