Cleaning enamel and gold leaf (?)

Dear silver enthusiasts.
I have a small collection of delicate souvenir spoons with intricate enamel decorations. I have searched and searched for the right way to clean them but all the sites and books I have found explain how to clean silver without making reference to the enamel parts. Does anybody know of any good source to obtain information on how to clean enameled silver spoons?
The same applies to gold leaf. Many books simply ignore or bypass this entire category of spoons.
