please help identify hair pins box

Post by frenchie_myriam »

Hello everyone,

I have this hair pin box from a vanity case. It has been assayed in Birmingham in 1906. Due to the maker's mark being very rubbed,I guess that the maker's mark is E & S in a rectangular shape.

Does anyone kow it ? Thanks in advance and Regards. Myriam

Myriam,
Do you think it might be L&S? If it is, it might be Levi and Soloman who were working around this time.

Many thanks Granmaa. It is truly E & S and in the meantime I could find out it was made by EDWARDS and SONS.

Best Regards.
