Puiforcat Candelabra?

The candelabra has maker's mark, no hallmark. I believe it is silverplate on nickel. Base is 4-in dia, height is 9-in, weight is 4-lbs.

Newbie, does square maker's mark = silverplate?

One source identifies E P with subscript I as Puiforcat "old factory mark".

Another online source indicated Puiforcat did not make many candelabras.

Any help on confirming this is Puiforcat greatly appreciated.

Hi There,

Did you ever find out about the candelabra? I have one exactly like the one in your pictures.
Best of Luck...

It is indeed the mark of Puiforcat, used on their plated wares.

The addition of the '1' incorporated into the mark would indicate, I believe, of a date of post 1983, as from this date French manufacturers had to grade their plated wares, with '1' being the best quality.
