That's IC TH for John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam. Grimwade has a note saying "Not in register. Mark taken from salver 1784."

Miles, Any thoughts as to why Grimwade stated 'by 1771' rather than by 1773 when that particular Largeworkers Register was finished?

this is a coming lot from thr McCone collection (one of the founder of CIA)

here the maker's mark is clear !

Has anyone ever seen the I . C mark by itself? If we come across just an I dot C, would this still be attributed to the works of John Crouch I and
would the IC with a dot in between still correspond to John Crouch I who perhaps had a single hallmark in the lost register?
