In my experience, these are found in Scotland. I've never known them to be American, but maybe I'll learn otherwise.

Hi,

Agree with silverly. It's the work of William Dunningham & Co. of Aberdeen and the material would be horn.

dang you got it. i thought because it had not UK hallmarks i didnt even bother looking under UK makers.
