I have read that in the Dutch before the Minevra’s head mark with head of Perseus was used. Could you please tell me from what the time the mark with head of Perseus began to be used as Assay Office Mark. Thank you.

The Head of Perseus actually it was the head of Mercurius, facing to the right, was introduced 26 December 1813 for large silver work but never used and replaced by the Minerva Head facing left.
