Hi,

Yes, spectacle case, the sizes could confirm and made in Amsterdam, 18th century . Please check if mark far right could be a date letter( most probably an X), on the image it looks like a bird with wings spread but should be a date letter. The maker’s mark is 1st mark left, EAH (please check and/or confirm), next Lion rampant city mark for silver of 1st standard and the three Andreas crosses crowned or guild mark for the city of Amsterdam.
Tip; clean up the marks (only the marks) with silver polish and soft toothbrush and to remove all residue wash out with warm water and soap, reexamine/read marks and make more images (various angles)

The mark on your image we have to turn around and read; HVE for Harmanus P. van Eysen
Registered in Amsterdam during 1762-1801. The date letter X for the year 1782 but please check the letters HVE (could also be HVK= Hendrik van Kerkhof 1771-1806)) and the date letter X and give feedback.
Spectacle cases were small in the 18th century the frame of the spectacle made of thin tiny metal wires with small reading glasses.

Yes, to me definitely a spectacle case and a very fine one! All the correct marks are present also the little import and duty mark & =ET= Étranger =foreign; in the areas of the Netherlands which were annexed by the French ( Napoleon) from 1809 until 1814, this mark was also used as tax free census mark, without any guarantee on the standard of fineness. The mark occur rather frequently on objects bearing the older marks of the Netherlands goldsmiths’ companies plus the duty marks of the Kingdom of Holland, and the 1807-1811 Kingdom of Holland proper hallmarks .
To conclude and carefully looking at your, if I may say not too clear images, and have you cleaned the mark? I strongly believe the makers mark to be HVE for Harmanus P van Eijsen.
The date letter to be X for the year 1782. Again a good, nice looking, 18th century piece of Amsterdam silver. Congratulations.

Oel,
Thank you very much!
Out of all the silver I had been going through, this one caught my eye from the start.
Thanks again
