Business opportunity available at silversmith’s premises

It was simply impossible not to share with members the following advertisement which appeared on the FRONT PAGE of the 25th May 1792 edition of The Times newspaper:
TWO HUNDRED POUNDS will be given to any Lady or Gentleman who can procure the Advertiser a Place under Government adequate to that sum, the greatest secrecy may be depended upon.
Direct to J.L.L. at Mr Thomas’s, Silversmith, St James’s.
Such an arrangement may not now be legal but if you can assist and you are prepared to face the consequences don’t leave contacting JLL for too long as time may be running out!
