Birmingham Spoon - Willmore 1825 - Two Duty Marks?

I have this mustard Spoon I believe by Joseph Willmore assayed in 1825

1825 is not a year for double duty marks, does anybody havew any ideas why this would occur?

Hi Rhodri,

I think it a case of an assay office marking error. Perhaps the first job on Monday morning :)

Despite the vast amounts of pieces that were hallmarked, such examples of mistakes made at the assay offices are rare indeed.
