PH? and Cross

I am just guessing on where to post this spoon. It certainly looks like an English spoon, but the extra marks seem to rule out America or Canada as I have never seen anything similar in those areas.
I hope somebody recognizes something I have missed.
I think the maker is PH but the crossbar, if there, is very slight. So I guess it could be PII.

Hi Maurice - I have a fork with very similar marks that I have been trying to identify for years without success. The handle of the fork is fiddle pattern, but in the Scottish style with narrower proportions, so could point to Scottish origins. Regards John

That mark, 'Cross Potent - PH - Cross Potent' is attributed to Patrick Hannay of Paisley.

Patrick Hannay's working period is thought to be around 1780-1810.

Thanks to both, obviously fits. I tried the Goldsmith's site first, but found nothing. After the info I tried Google and found one piece attributed with the same mark.
