Hello all, first time poster on this amazing website. I have a marked "Silver Sterling" bracelet and some odd hallmarks that I can't seem to figure out. The "SILVER" and right below it "STERLING" marks are on one of the rings attached to the male end of the clasp, and the hallmarking is on the female end of the clasp, both on the backside of the bracelet. I would love any information on the hallmarking or thoughts on the bracelet. I have been researching this item for a week and not having much luck. The bracelet weighs approximately an ounce to an ounce and a half (scales still being mailed to me).

The item is imported. From your drawing it appears to have passed through the London Assay Office in, probably, 1991.

The importer/sponsor, 'FA', is unknown to me.

Thank you dognose, I think that solves the assay mark being from London, not sure how I missed that when browsing the marks area extensively. I was questioning if it was British because I didn't see an Anchor mark with the other hallmarks. But this is very reassuring since I was leaning towards the also R mark being 1991. Now just to figure out what the FA possibly means, but with this tidbit of LONDON Assay mark, it gives me more tools to search with now and hone in on it.

Another piece of the puzzle. I did find the FA in a triangle mark on the London Assay Office website on the tab "Silver Makers' Marks - London Assay Office (F)". Only thing it says though is makers mark - FA, Date Seen - 1984, Seen on - Letter Opener.
