Wallace Silversmiths recently received sole marketing and distribution rights to the Bridgeport-Ware line of the Bridgeport Brass Company. Included is a complete line of cooking utensils. H. Stuart Stone, president of Wallace Silversmiths, said the new marketing program represents another step in his firm’s diversification program. Last fall in an earlier expansion move the company acquired the Tuttle Silver Co., Inc., North Attleboro, Mass.

The official opening of a new addition to the Cookshire plant of Wallace Silversmiths (Canada) Ltd. took place recently. Products of the General Plastics Ltd., Division of the company are now manufactured there.
On the occasion of the opening, local government, civic and industry representatives were present to assist in the dedication of the 25,000 square foot addition to the existing plant where silverware has been manufactured for many years. The new plastics division became a wholly owned subsidiary of Wallace Silversmiths (Canada) Ltd. in August, 1957.

Washington, D. C., Jan. 31—The firm of R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co., Wallingford, have been awarded a contract for furnishing the Brooklyn Navy Yard with 35 silver-plated celery dishes and 145 meat dishes for wardroom and warrant officers mess, at $1,548.75.
Proposals were opened Jan. 23.

Miss Bryn has undergone an operation for appendicitis and is reported to be recovering satisfactorily. The W. B. Glidden Co., augmented its force to care for the Christmas business.

After a short visit with friends in their old home at Albany, N. Y., they spent about three weeks in the Adirondack mountains. The last week was spent at the factory in Wallingford, Conn.
