Help identifying this Welsh cigarette case hallmark

Hi,

We have a cigarette case that seems it came from Wales by the inscription, but the Hallmarks are so small and plain we don't have much to go on. Each side of the case is marked and appears to be "CGEC" but the G especially could be something else. The inscription places it in Abercynon Wales, from the Workmens Hall, also dating it between 1905 and 1990.

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

That would be the letters 'EPNS' - Electro Plated Nickel Silver'.

Hi Trev,

Thank you again!

We never would have guessed that. Makes sense it was a more budget friendly gift with the inscription.
