Can you identify the mark? Mid-century silver chess set

I grew up playing on this Mexican silver (white) and copper (black) chess set that my grandfather brought back from Taxco in the early 50's. The pieces are rather geometric and modern-looking. I would love to know more about the designer/studio if possible. The only mark is on the underside of one of the silver knights.

The mark has a sillhouted eagle with a number 9 and to the right I believe it says .940, with a horizontal double sided trident and below, the words, Tazco Mexico. The copper pieces are identical to the silver in every way though copper.

I'm New at this But I'm thinking your mark is Hector Aguilar He is from Taxco. you can see his mark on the mexican silver marks.this Home Page.Ruby

I did a bit more research (I actually dug up and found the original bill of sale which was from 1957) and discovered that the Taller was Taller Borda in Taxco, which from other reading I have done was the studio that Hector Aguilar set up after he left the Spratling taller, so you were spot on! Thank you so much for your keen eye.
