Hi everyone.. I was searching through the internet to get some information on a silver ingot that was passed on to me by my grandmother.

After doing some reasearch here, it seems as though it is a 'duty' piece, and also that it may be made by Stuart Clifford. However, I'm not 100% sure as I can't confirm the location the piece was made. It seems to have a 'flower'.

Here is the piece in question.. can anyone help?

Hi there. This piece is not a 'duty' piece as it might appear at first glance. It is in fact a 1977 piece from shefield, and the 'duty' mark is Queen Elizabeth. Pieces of silver from this year were marked with this stamp to celebrate her 25th jubilee. The flower stamp is the new stamp for Shefield, it used to be a crown, but was recently changed to a flower. As for the makers mark, someone else may be able to help you with that.

cheers
