Hello, maker is a member of the Boll family from Lütjenburg near Kiel, northern Germany. There are three who used this mark: Hans Friedrich and his brother Johann Christian Friedrich Boll, ca. 1830-1868 or the son of J.C.F., Carl Wilhelm Boll , born 1834, died after 1907. Best wishes, Bahner

Hallo again and thank you for the reply.
Lütjenburg - is it the towns hallmark on my spoon. So we might have another for German Hallmarks I.
I could see some similarities with Kiel - at first I believed it to be Kiel, but its quiet different. I can see that Kiel is part of the shield of the town.

Again its close to Denmark and that might explain its route from silversmith to me.
Based upon look of spoon I expect that it is one of the two brothers.
