Hi, welcome to the forum. Dutch ornamental spoon. The maker's mark in a square shield is rubbed and not clear enough to be identified. The lion passant above 2 for 2 nd standard silver 833/000 fineness, used 1814-1953. Are there no other marks, like assay office mark or Minerva head and a year letter?
For Dutch ( hall)marks see:

Thanks Peter. Those are the only 2 hallmarks I see on the spoon. There are a lot of intricate details on the handle. I included a few more pictures. 1 more of the hallmarks and a close up of the back/front of the stem next to the ship. Does the bow and arrow crest on the back of the spoon mean anything?
Thanks again for all of your help.

Also, I forgot to mention that the spoon is 13” long.

Hi, it is a pity the marks are rubbed out perhaps the spoon bowl has been over polished. I believe the crest to be a fantasy crest and part of the decoration. The spoon is a 19th/early 20th century copy of an ornamental type of spoon originated in the 18th century. Below a 18th century ornamental spoon made in Amsterdam.

Thank you so much for all of your help and wisdom. I have 2 more spoons (wedding gift from my ex-husbands Grandmother 22 years ago) that I’m trying to get more information on. However, I dont know their origin. I know this is a Danish forum. Suggestions on where to post for more information?
Thanks-

Your welcome. This is the Dutch forum, just post the new topic here. One of the moderators, if not Dutch will move it to the correct forum.
