German? Flatware Mark

Post by burchard »

Hi, I have a large set of silver flatware that I was told might be German but I am having no luck matching the mark on the back to any country at all. Most are marked KK 90 Gravuris but a few also have an M after that.
Thank you.

Hello, this is plate. Maker is Karl Kaltenbach. The 'gravuris' mark was used from the 1930ies onwards. As to the 'M' - no clue, sorry. Best wishes, Bahner

Thank you Bahner, just so I get it right, this is a set of German silver plate by Karl Kaltenbach made after 1930. What does gravuris mean?
