Spanish or Spanish Colonial ?

Hi - can anyone help identify the marks on this embossed silver dish. It is stamped B or possibly PL cojoined over OTERO (maker ?) and then 11D. There is also what appears to be an assay scrape. No other marks. The O in OTERO is not clear inthe photos but can be seen under a glass. Would be greatful for any help. Many thanks.

Hola joho, lo primero decirte lo que signific el 11D. Se trata de la ley del metal, siendo 11 dineros, equivalente a 916 milésimas del actual Sistema Métrico Decimal. Se empezó a utilizar este marcaje en 1881, posiblemente hasta 1934 que se impuso una nueva ley de metales preciosos. A simple vista no conozco nngún platero que termine en ...TERO, lo voy a investigar y si encuentro algo te lo digo. Saludos

Hello joho, the first thing to tell you what the 11D meant. This is the metal law, being 11 monies, equivalent to 916 thousandths of the current Decimal Metric System. This marking began to be used in 1881, possibly until 1934 when a new precious metals law was imposed. At first glance I do not know any silversmith that ends in ... Now we can say that the dish is Spanish, of standard 916 silver and dates from 1881 or later. It would be nice if we could find the maker, but even if we don't, I have a lot more information now!

The lost word in the stamping might be PLATERO (under the E)? This form can be found in one of the Spanish adverts from around 1886 on the same page before the Otero one. But it wouldn’t be a name itself.
