I got the image of the mark to upload, but the image of the compote would not upload even though I used the same process using the same website.

https://postimages.org (choose 'Share', then copy the 'Hotlink for forums' code) is recommended.

Remember to use the Preview feature.

Although you are using the same process for embedding you did not use the same method for uplinking to the host site. The successful method links to the image (JPG file) but the unsuccessful one links to a gallery, albeit of only one picture; you need to use the image name which will give this result:
