Hi legend,

I got a brooch and I have difficulty identifying the mark, I would like to know your opinion about the mark on it.

I have no idea about the material/maker/age of the brooch. Looks like gold, but there isn't a second mark on any other part of the brooch.

Any information will be appreciated.

Thank you for your attention and time! :)

Hi Elise,
Welcome to the forum. Believe it to be a Dutch hallmark, lion head erased, for gold 750/000 (18K), without appendages, used 1814- 1905. Used on small work, without yearletter and office mark.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thank you so much for coming across my post and offering this professional support to help me.
After reading your reply, I did some research myself, but the "antique" in question is too distant in history for me to have the ability to learn more about its story. It is very precious to be able to understand this knowledge that cannot be obtained from books.
I'm grateful for your selfless sharing here.
