It is МЮ8 (Ю being one of the letters of the Russian alphabet).
МЮ is the abbreviation for Московская ювелирная фабрика (Moscow jewelry factory).
Numeral 8 after МЮ is date code for 1968.
(1958 had the same date code but the state official mark was worker`s head in profile and hammer).

Star mark with sickle and hammer inside was introduced on May 7th 1958.
On the left is letter M for Moscow assay office.
875 is the silver fineness of 87.5% pure silver in the alloy.

I think everything is clear now.

There is something confusing here (at least for me). The engraved date is 2.I 59. (January 2nd, 1959).
Why would someone engrave this date on 1968 cup ? It could be 1958,i.e. made after May 7th 1958 when new star mark was introduced.
The engraved lettering looks Latin, another mystery for me, possibly engraved outside Soviet Union or in one of the republics where Latin alphabet was used.

Yes. It's 1958.

Lettering in Latvian. "In memory from Virgita and Gara"
