Unknown Birmingham Maker, not that old

Hello Everyone and Thanks for Looking!

We have a set of forks [cold meat, I think] that are from Birmingham and not so old [1915, if I'm reading the date stamp correctly], but haven't been able to identify the maker ... looked in both the main link on the home page and in the updates...

I don't know that much about silver, but I thought it was interesting that the maker stamped the front of the forks, instead of on the reverse. There is, however, on the reverse a long number, which I don't know what it means.

These are dessert forks (the thick prong is useful when eating tart), and they were made by Charles Wilkes in 1915.

Susan, the British Registry is similar to the US Patent Office. If you go to the Main Site ~ Home Page and look at the drop down menu under "Resources," you'll see a link for British Registry Dates.

Your Rd No 564313 (if I'm seeing it right) indicates that the pattern was registered sometime between 1910 and 1911.
